Using Mobile@Connector for creating mobile applications starting from an existing application: - We created Mobile@Connector - a tool enabling creating mobile applications starting from an existing database. See more
- An existing application contains much more useful information (from Mobile@Connector's point of view) than a database. Mobile@Connector accesses the information by using so called adapters which deliver information about:
- metadata structure
- detailed (and not only rough) forms design/logic
- detailed data validation
- detailed navigations structure
- permissions (users, user groups, etc.)
- business logic
- thereafter Mobile@Connector creates a mobile application using the automatically created definition, and installs it on the server fully automatically
IMPORTANT - This approach is possible only if an adapter for the given application exists
- To see how an adapter works, see flash movies of mobilization services created around adapters' concept for several solutions like Microsoft Dynamics CRM or Salesforce.com
- Adapters can be created for practically all applications:
- any technology can be used to create them
- even if an application is not able to run offline/synchronize Mobile@Connector - using an adapter - makes it able to work this way.
- The adapter specification is open: they can be created by Logotec Engineering and external companies as well. We are currently in the process of creating more adapters for Mobile@Connector.
