Using Mobile@Connector for creating mobile applications starting from an existing database: - The user selects a database
- Mobile@Connector displays the database objects (tables, views)
- The user selects the objects to be included in the application
- Mobile@Connector analyzes the metadata structure, fields properties, etc., and uses it for creating:
- the metadata structure of the mobile application
- rough form design
- proper data validation
- rough navigation structure
- The user modifies/refines the definition, and extends it with additional elements, like business logic, by using built-in wizards - no programming
- After the definition is ready, the user starts the installation process - Mobile@Connector creates an application using the definition, and installs it on the server fully automatically
- The user connects his device to the given server address using any kind of connection
- Mobile@Connector automatically deploys the local part of the application to the user's device
IMPORTANT Two approaches are possible: - Direct access to a database
- Mobile@Connector has to be installed in the same LAN as the database)
- Remote access to a database. In such cases Mobile@Connector can access a database even if installed in another location. It makes possible offering it as service:
- The database is installed on the customers location
- Mobile@Connector is hosted by a hosting company

Important: Mobile@Connector supports also so called "adapters concept" which enables creating mobile counterparts of existing "large" (= not mobile) applications in minutes, fully automatic.
